Videos don’t play after sleep

Videos don’t play after sleep. Restart does fix the problem but the issue persists after the next sleep. I have no Safari browser extensions, operating system is up to date there no network issues and there no conflicts with energy saving settings. I didn’t have this problem before Yosemite

Mac Mini M1 will not play any videos For the past 4 months my M1 Mini mac with 16 GB running Ventura 13.2 will not play any online or local videos. This is the case with either Safari or Chrome. If i reboot the Mini mac it will then play for a few hours then go back to not playing anything. This happens with Youtube / BBC news videos or any videos I have in Apple TV app on my Mac. Any ideas?

Streaming videos not playing in Safari 16.3 Using Ventura 13.2.1 on MacBook Pro 15" 2018 On boot up or waking by opening lid when opening safari to a streaming site the video will not play. I have to quit Safari then open, go to history and Reopen All Windows From Last Session before streaming works. If Safari is open and the laptop goes to sleep (I do not close the lid) when waking video does not play. Closing Safari and reopening with windows from last session streaming will work. Not a huge problem, but an inconvenience

We need more information:

Quicktime?
VLC?
YouTube ?
videos within a browser page?

Are your problems in one, some, or all of the above? When you say, "don't play" what exactly happens?

In the meantime, set your computer to sleep after several hours or even 'Never', but set the display to sleep as at present.
