Since up date 18.3.1 for I phone cannot connect to chromecast. Keeps saying error with phone . It was working fine the day before the update . Many thanks

I have the same experience. I just updated to 18.3.2, which came out a few hours ago in the hopes that would solve it, but it did not unfortunately! Hope they can diagnose it soon and solve it afterwards.

Maybe try the Google boards to see if there's an update.
Maybe it is a Chromecast problem (which is not an Apple product)?
FWIW, Chromecast is notoriously unreliable and buggy that many people I know have given up on it. Perhaps you should contact Chromecast support.
