Sound comes out of wrong device

I have the M4 Pro mini and a 27" Studio Display. The system setting for sound is selected to play through the Studio Display speakers. It works well, except for music (songs).

If I select a song to play using the mouse, the sound comes out of the Mac mini speaker. (Which it shouldn't do.)

If I select a song to play using the keyboard spacebar, then the sound correctly comes out of the Studio Display speakers.

Can someone explain what is going on with this? Am I missing some setup switch somewhere?

Can not change the sound input/output on Mac Just upgrade to macOS 13.5 Ventura from macOS Monterey. I found the switch between sound input/output is out of function. When I tried to click another input/output device, it just jumped back to the default one. Is there anyway to fix it? Sound_switch not working

Any Media (video or music) won't play on my MacBook Pro 16 m1 if I'm using internal speakers So I have this problem with my MacBook Pro 2021 M1. I have the latest macOS SONOMA 14.3. There is no sound coming from the inbuilt speakers and because of that I can't play any video on a browser or on my hard drive. If I use external audio interface such as focusrite or bluetooth headphones media will play normally. I reinstalled OS and it didn't solve the problem. Anyone else faced this problem and knows any fix?
