Over/underscaling issue in my Acer monitor using a hdmi cable in M1 Mac mini

All my 4 corners of the desktop are not visible and I can't see the menu bar up top. Also a portion of the dock at the bottom seems cropped so does the stage manager windows in the left

MacBook Air M1 not connecting to an external monitor issue. My MacBook Air M1 currently runs MacOS Ventura 13.01.1. I am experiencing an issue in which my MacBook's screen will not be displayed on my external 4k monitor. I have doubled checked that both my monitor and the USB dock work with my friend's MacBook Pro which is able to connect to my monitor successfully. My MacBook screen will only show the wallpaper when connected to it and I am also unable to use the mouse arrow, leaving It useless as the monitor screen continues to stay black. When I then unplug my MacBook from the USB dock my windows come back and the screen turns back on, showing the display settings preferences window with both my MacBook and my Acer monitor shown as usable displays. It then disappears after a couple of seconds before I can click and change any of the display settings. I have googled what to do multiple times and have tried solutions to display problems and bugs such as turning my display and MacBooks power off and resetting my parameters RAM etc and nothing seems to fix it. Any advice would be much appreciated :) Thanks

Oversized image on monitor I have a 2020 M1 Mac Mini 13.4.1 with 2 Dell U2415 monitors. Occasionally the screen image is larger than the monitor. I cannot see all of the image. If I do a full screen capture I get the entire image, but what I see on the monitor is either missing the top part of the image or the bottom part of the image. If the top part is missing and I move the cursor to the top of the screen the image shifts and I can see the tool bar. If the tool bar is visible and the bottom of the image is missing and I move the cursor to the bottom the image shifts up and I can no longer see the tool bar. I have my dock on the left edge of the left monitor and set to automatically hide and show. Sometimes most of the dock is missing. See images of the upper right corner of the left monitor and the upper left corner of the right monitor. Note that some of the date on the left monitor shows on the right monitor. Note that the Apple icon is shifted to the right on the right monitor.What is causing this and how do I correct it? It has gotten very annoying.

There is a setting for Underscan in System Settings > Displays. You can adjust this to get the full screen showing on your display. The problem, however, is that the setting doesn't stick after a reboot.

Check the manual for your Acer monitor. There may be a setting in your monitor to adjust the HDMI underscan. In the case of my Sony TV, it was called "Full Pixel."

It will help if you tell us the exact model Acer monitor you are using.
