How do I reduce background noise in Final Cut Pro 10.8.1?

I there an easy way to eliminate the background noise? I've recorded an interview with a 'semi-directional' mike in a public space. I didn't have any headphones to monitor the sound so I set the audio recording to auto. The subject's voice is still decent but the mike has picked up a lot of background sound including music, which is distracting. How can I quickly improve the sound quality in FCP? I'm not an advanced FCP user. I'll appreciate any tips that might help me sort this problem.

That's because your clip has four audio channels.

You can control-click on the clip in the timeline, and choose Expand Audio Channels.

Then select the audio channels separately and you will have access to voice isolation.
