Your cautions are commendable.

For comparison, I’ve never received an eMailed Apple Cash statement …

… and statements are available for download from within your Wallet app.

Lastly, that address seems suspect; any Apple Cash statement would seeming be from the issuer, Green Dot Bank.

I’m somewhat new to apple and am trying to get used to

many of my other apple correspondences that are legit comes from emails that end with post.applecard.apple. I would have expected it to have apple.com or something. I read somewhere in this community that there should be an apple verify on the top of emails from Apple but all my legit ones didn’t have any type of “verified” at the top of the emails

this particular email from Applecash support did have this at the footer - probably wouldn’t mean much if it is a fake:

"Apple Cash services are provided by Green Dot Bank. Member FDIC.

Apple Payments Services LLC, a subsidiary of Apple Inc., is a service provider of Green Dot Bank for Apple Cash accounts.

Neither Apple Inc. nor Apple Payments Services LLC is a bank. All rights reserved.”
