Updating MacOS Monterey to Sierra or another OS

I have Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc). It is telling me I need to update to MacOS 13.0 or later. According to my computer, I have the newest update MacOS Monterey 12.7.6. I'm using a MacBook Pro 12,1. Should I be updating to another OS system? Or, doing something different. Thank you.
