How do I prevent voice dictation from capitalizing the word 'metal'?

As in, put the rivets in the Metal.

How do I fix that? Metal is not a proper name, it is simply a noun and needs to only be capitalized when it is at the beginning of a sentence.

Caps in voice recognition I used to be able to say, “Cap“ and then a word the first letter of which I wanted capitalized, and it would be capitalized. That function is no longer working. Instead, voice recognition actually writes out the word “cap.” I rely heavily on voice recognition as a person with disabilities who is running an international business. I don’t have time for simple capitalization to take so long. I can’t say how many times I’ve had to delete the word “cap,” for one thing. why does dictation randomly capitalize words all over the sentence ever since they fixed the dictation problems that have been plaguing them for the last year, all of a sudden every fifth or sixth word is being capitalized for absolutely no reason. This is happening primarily in iMessage and in iPhone email programs. It does not happen in text boxes like this one. what are we supposed to do about this problem? AppleCare has no answers. Auto punctuation, auto capitalization, auto everything has been turned off and it still happens. as you can see by this dictation disaster, it is also failing to capitalize words at the beginning of sentences immediately after the period. please do not tell me to add this to feedback -- it's already been done a half a dozen times. Nobody seems to be listening. Apple should be monitoring the community because from a marketing standpoint it would be insane not to.

Dictation I have Word on my desktop and when I use dictation, I don't know how to indicate the initial letter of a word should be capitalized. Sometimes the software realizes a particular word should be capitalized but it is no consistent. When I used Dragon, all that was required, for example, was to dictate "cap allied" and I would get Allied. I saw some threads about this problem from 2020 or so but it never seemed to result in an answer.

Try The Command "No caps on " dictate the word "metal" … end with command "no caps off"

After repeating above procedure a few times, see if dictation learns from this,

(ie : so the word will appear as you expect it to.)
