When I open a collection in photos e.g. favourites I get an auto scrolling of the album that i dont want (ever!). This is a super annoying update feature and of NO use. Online advice says is to turn off “preview”. However, I am unable to find this feature to turn it off. It is not where the on line advice describes. How can I stop this auto scrolling of pictures.

In views like that you can go to the Sort menu at the bottom, and chose "View Options" to see
a menu that includes Movie Preview. If it is checked, then un-check it.
I think they moved it to this menu from the (•••) menu.

I do hate it when they introduce these new, clever but ultimately useless and irritating, features by default without any option to keep things simple! Just because stuff is possible doesn't mean that it's helpful or useful.
The gave us something that some people might find enjoyable, and gave us a way for the rest of us to turn it off. This seems very reasonable to me.
