IOS 18.3.1 and iPhone 16 problems

My iPhone 16 has been super glitchy since the 18.3.1 upgrade. I keep restarting it but it doesn’t seem to help. Right now one of the main issues is when texting or commenting on a site I’m suddenly unable to see what I am actively entering, although I can tell what I am typing is being added because the cursor is moving. I just can’t see it. Most of the first part of the message is viewable but there is either a shaded gray box of the portion I’m entering or it is below the bottom of the comment box and can’t be seen and while scrolling works going up it won’t scroll down to make my typing visible. After several times trying to scroll up and down and touching the screen it suddenly magically disappears and my attempted new text verbiage is there. Not sure I explained this well but it’s making me crazy.

I've encountered the same issue, as well as having the screen not be responsive to screen taps and typing across various apps and functions. I didn't have the problem prior to 18.3.1, which suggests it's a sloppy Apple update, yet again. Apple needs to be doing a better job with their updates, they've put out way too many in recent years that have glaring issues.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

Today my iPhone 16 went nuts, not sure if it was from 18.3.1 or new uploaded app.

The data entry became delayed, unresponsive. Called Apple support, after over an hour of messing with it, finally wiped the phone clean, upload back up files from the Cloud, but then had to got carrier cellphone store to reactivate the account.

This used up about 3.5 hours of my time. Very annoying.
