I upgraded my iMac to macOS Ventura (9) hours ago. A “Change Your Password” banner has just appeared. Clicking the banner’s “Show” button opens the System Settings/Apple ID. I clicked the “Change Password” button: the password in question is my iMac user account password, not my iCloud password.
What is going on? Will I be able to reboot the iMac and log in with my current credentials?

Having the Computer Password and the Apple Account ( formerly Apple ID ) and using the same password Both is what has trigged this “Change Your Password”
I apologize for not making myself clear.
I knew which password it was asking me to change by the user name displayed. My Apple account ID is an email address. My Mac username is not an email address. In any case, I didn't change the password.
I shut my Mac down yesterday and rebooted it. The Mac password hadn't changed.
