How to get microphone to work on Mac mini M4

Can't get microphone to work on Mac Mini m4 for Siri or Voice Memos.

Mac mini, macOS 15.3

The Mac mini has no microphone built in.

You'll need to use something else for audio input. AirPods work well. As would a USB microphone or USB headset mic.
