For some reason, all my apps are unresponsive. They immediately quit themselves and this is being very frustrating. try opening the "Activity Monitor" but it quit itself too. Can someone help?

Did this just start or after updating OS?
You can try the following:
Restart in safe mode and test. If OK restart normally and test
or go to recovery and reinstall the OS (it will not touch your files)
and/or run the free app Etrecheck and post here for review unless you can see the issue and repair yourself.
