Concerns About Starlink Connectivity and Privacy

Subject: Concerns About Starlink Connectivity and Privacy

Hi Apple,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my appreciation for the outstanding experiences I've had with your products over the years. Every time I use my iPhone or MacBook Pro, I'm reminded of the quality and innovation Apple consistently delivers.

However, I have a concern regarding the recent announcement about the iPhone 16e's potential connectivity with Starlink through T-Mobile. While I understand that enhanced connectivity could bring significant benefits, I’m worried about the implications for customer privacy and data security associated with Starlink.

Given recent events involving Elon Musk, including his management decisions and high-profile controversies, I am concerned about the potential risks to Apple’s valued principles of Personal Data Security, Trust, Regulatory Compliance, and Corporate Ethics. Privacy is a cornerstone of Apple's identity and one of the primary reasons I, and many others, choose your products.

In light of these developments, I'm curious to know how Apple plans to address these concerns and protect user data in this new collaboration. While improved connectivity is certainly appealing, it is crucial to ensure that our personal information remains uncompromised.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I trust that Apple will continue to uphold the highest standards of privacy and security that resonate so deeply with your customers.

Best regards,

Since this is an opt-in only service that T-Mobile provides, you may want to check with them what data is being shared from your account. T-Mobile has no access to the files on your phone, but they obviously have your personal information that you gave them when subscribing to the service. Apple would have no control over that information that they may share.
