Unable to adjust podcast audio speed on iPhone

Help!

I cannot adjust the audio speed in the lower left corner. Instead of the speeds showing, it shows the transcript icon

iPhone podcasts not working properly Podcasts. Only a generic icon is showing for all podcasts. Podcast downloading takes excessive time. Playing podcasts starts and stops.
