ios 18.3.1 battery drain

Ever since IOS 18.3.1 update installed on my iPhone 15, my battery has been draining rapidly. I would usually go full day without charging and now I can’t even get 4-6 hours without charging. Based on some research, apple intelligence is embedded in 18.3 and I have no way of turning it off. I do not have Intelligence options in settings or within Siri settings. Any suggestions?

After you update an iPhone, it must carry out several background tasks including indexing to complete, which basically means sorting all your millions of bytes of data on the new software. This can drain additional battery. Give it a few days and it should be back to normal.

By the way, your iPhone 15 as stated in your tagline does not support Apple Intelligence.
