Getting DVD content onto iPAD

I have a load of DVDs, would like to put some on my iPAD to watch on long haul flights.

I use VLC on iPAD, I have a PC with DVD drive, so can get at DVDs on PC.

iPad is Air 3 so has lightning connector.

Ripping data off DVD is OK as is converting to .avi if that is best format.

but post says connect iPad to PC ? What is easiest way to do this ?

PC is on same WiFi network as iPAD (both connected to same hub)

is WiFi transfer an option?

if not PC has USB .. iPad Air does not have USB.

i could use DropBox or GoogleCloud if necessary … just more steps.

By far the easiest and simplest method of moving photos and videos between your Windows PC and your iPad would be to install iCloud for Windows - although you have other alternatives including third-party cloud solutions such as Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive.

An alternative strategy might be to consider file transfer between your Windows PC and iPad using a simple USB Thumb Drive or other USB Storage device. If your iPad has a Lightning connector, you’ll need an Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter:
