register for a class on vision impaired use of iphone

My neighbor has an iPhone 8 with voice over since he is blind.

He would like to join a class at the apple store he patronizes, Aspen Grove, Littleton, CO, to learn more how to use his phone. We were told there is a 90 minute class offered on March 6th, 11:00 a.m. He was in the store where the attendant started a registration for the class for him. However, my neighbor does not know of an apple ID or password for his phone. Must he have that to register for the class?

iPhone 13 mini, iOS 18

How wonderful that your neighbor has you to help! As we are all Apple users, like yourself, in the community, we can not say for sure what a particular Apple store may or may not require in a particular instance. We'd like to help, however.

Here's the webpage for Aspen Grove, Littleton, CO : Aspen Grove - Apple Store - Apple

You may want to give them a call: says: (303) 256-2580

Here is their "Today at Apple" sessions website: Today at Apple - Aspen Grove - Apple

You can scroll down to click on "See all upcoming Daily Sessions"

Seems Apple does require some personal info. in order to register for the sessions

Website says:

"Only parents and legal guardians of minors, and those 18 years and over, should register. By registering, you consent to the processing of your personal data by Apple and third parties involved in providing the session for reserving your spot, communicating reminders, and facilitating your participation in this session in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy.
