Where have my pages docs gone?

I created some docs (cv’s) on pages app on my iPad and also exported them to save as a pdf so I could send them on with job applications. Now I want to updated them. I can find and open the pdf’s in my files app but cannot edit them. The original and larger pages docs have disappeared. In my pages app they appear as greyed out icons and I cannot open them.

Pages - Can’t Open Doc I have so many documents that I could open and use freely, that I now suddenly can’t after a new version of the app comes out. Is there any workaround for this? I’m now considering not ever using Pages again. I doubt this would happen with Microsoft Word. Also, why does Pages make a copy of a doc and then open that? And then there’s all these copies of the doc on my iPad.

iPad Pages docs in settings but not in app? Hi I cannot find a number of important pages documents on my iPad I’ve tried looking in the iCloud but can only find generic sample documents not any of the ones which have involved months of work. When I go into settings - press General then select Pages I can see a list of the documents I need access to. The only cation I can then take is to press EDIT and I am not sure what to do next as EDIT seems to just mean delete. Really hope someone can help! thanks in advance

Text Editors If I download an alternative app for Pages ( like Google Docs) , where will I find my current documents ? Do I need to transfer them from one to the other ? Do I have to use Google Drive to store them or is there someplace on my iPad that I could put them ? 🧭 I'm not trying to talk about Google , their community forum seems chaotic to navigate that's why I'm asking here . 🗺️
