Incorrect pronunciation on epub

I’m listening to an epub on Apple Books v6.4 on MacBook Pro, Sonama 14.6.

Sometimes an uppercase letter can be pronounced “Capital I” instead of “I” or “W.h.o." instead of “who”, “street” instead of "st”, etc. Is there a way to change this so that the words spoken match the words I can see?

How to add pronunciation to “spoken content”? I use the "speak selection" command that's part of "spoken content" under accessibility. I use this command to listen to my text books, however, it cannot pronounce Greek letters whatsoever (for example, 'gamma' is pronounced 'micro-velta' and the voice changes from male to female). I have a 2023 Apple M2 Pro and there's no option for "add pronunciation," which seems to have existed for previous mac versions. Under "VoiceOver" there is an option to "add pronunciation," but things I add here does not apply for the "spoken content" command. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Japanese character input no longer working!! Since upgrading to a new Mac Mini (M1, 2020) with Monterey, I haven't been able to type in Japanese. I installed the keyboard options, but it only spits out gobbledygook. The standard phonetic typing system (kotoeri) doesn't seem to be in use anymore. Annoying, because I use Japanese for business, and now have to type all Japanese comms on my iPhone (iOs works fine!!). Does anyone know a fix to this?

Accents changed on keyboard, unable to return them to default When I press Option+A,E,I,O,U, I get do not get the vowel with an accent, instead I get the following: á ´ˆ ø ¨ The @ symbol has also moved from the 2 key, to the " key and vice-versa. I have tried to change the keyboard settings to default, but it does not fix the issue. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Thank you.
