MacBook Air M2 no longer connecting to Wi-Fi

it is no longer connecting to Wi-Fi consistently ie when on a train when iPhone connects to same available wifi on train.

i have tried every possible solution i could think of or find online, such as; Updated software, enabled then disabled firewall, rebooted my mac, forgot the internet and tried reconnecting, tried connecting from the tab on top right of mac and through network in system preferences, changed wifi password, changed wifi name, changed wifi security type.

ican connect to all other devices including my other laptop and iPhone 15 pro max just fine from the same distance. I am quite worried as my mac's warranty very recently expired.

it has only happened whilst I was traveling in India for 6 weeks.

All my work has come to a pause and i urgently need a solution.
