Is it possible to regain access to a locked Mac mini M1 after a fraud?
Situation description:
I became a victim of fraud. After logging into the scammers' iCloud account from my computer, they locked my device. The scheme was very clever — I was deceived, and now I can't use my computer.
Actions taken:
I contacted Apple Support, explained the situation in detail, and requested assistance. However, based on the responses from the security team, it seems they didn’t investigate the issue thoroughly. I was told that the device can only be unlocked with a receipt (a document proving the purchase). However, I am currently unable to provide that receipt.
Current issue:
Now I don’t know how to regain access to my computer. Does this mean that without the receipt, unlocking is impossible? Will I have to dispose of my device?
