When viewing a video on my iPad, and I hit the pause button, the video will stop, but will restart on its own after 5 or 6 seconds. When I hit the pause button again, the video will stay paused until I hit play. Any suggestions?

My iPad is definitely updated. I actually had this problem before this latest update. I’m on YouTube a good bit so I notice it more there than other apps. This issue has popped up on other apps, like News apps and Pinterest. I’ve recently noticed that, in order to play a video, I have to hit the play button twice. Odd. The video will play, I pause it, then it restarts on its own after 5-8 seconds. If I hit the pause again, it will stay paused. I was checking my email yesterday when out of the blue a video starts to play. I had to shut down my iPad because I couldn’t find the source of the video. Really odd.
Are the videos playing random all apps or in specific app?
have you updated the device to latest OS?
if these two were already checked take a data back up and do OS reinstallation.
