Does anyone have .wav files that won't play?

I'm using the latest version of Logic Pro, 11.1.2. I'm running Mac OS 14.7.3.

This issue just started happening. My projects consist of all standard 44.1kHz .wav files. I fist make the beat and then I mix it down to a .wav file. Then I create a new project and paste the .wav instrumental into the project. Then I record vocals. For some really strange reason, with some projects, only the instrumental .wav track will play, but the vocal tracks won't play; they are there but there's no sound. In other projects, none of the .wav files will play at all, so the entire project is silent. All of these projects are store in the Logic folder on the local drive as per default.

Another strange thing is that a couple Logic projects that I have saved on my external drive will play, I can hear the instrumental and vocal tracks. But others behave the same way as the ones on my local drive.

Support won't help me because their built in wav files will play just fine.

Hopefully someone has some insight or has experience this or a similar issue.
