Recently set up a new Mac mini M4 with a new Dell monitor. I am having bad mouse lag with when processor is "busy". I have searched around the internet and not found an answer. Attempted to turn off wifi and bluetooth without improvement. No improvement with changing refresh rate on monitor. No improvement with restarting or installing updates. Lags with CPU <10%.
You mentioned "high CPU" which I assumed specific apps or processes were using a large percentage of it. So there is no particular process involved?

Are you able to determine which apps or processes are hogging the CPU? Can you identify them, or post a screenshot of Activity Monitor when the lagging manifests?
The lag is fairly universal and not tied to any processes. Present upon startup with minimal processes running. I am a business user and only utilize safari, mail and similar products. No gaming.
