Unable to access Apple Music on HomePods after consolidating accounts
Hi,
Here is the summary:
- All Apple services, including Apple Music subscription, are working on all my Apple devices (iPhones, iPad, Mac, and Apple Home) except HomePods.
- On HomePods, all Apple services are working (including controlling smart devices on Apple Home, creating calendar events, making phone calls, etc.) except accessing Apple Music subscription.
- On HomePods, I get the following Siri response when I request to play playlists from my library or even when I ask "Play songs by John Lennon”:
- Siri response: ”I could not find any music in your Apple Music library.”
- On HomePods, the only music I can play by a direct request are radio stations. For example, Siri plays music when I request “Play Jazz Music” or “Play Music”.
- Previously, when the HomePods were able to access my Apple Music Library, Siri would play my favorite music when I asked “Play Music”.
- I have reset all three HomePods to factory settings and then I signed into my consolidated Apple ID account as the "Primary User" for all three HomePods.
- I can stream music to HomePods from any of my other Apple devices.
The mere thought of how often I have repeated the above information to Apple support (including senior advisors) for HomePods and Apple Music over the last few days in futile results in me taking lots of deep breaths.
I will appreciate any suggestions you may have to fix this problem.
Thank you.
