My iPhone 16 connects to random Echo devices

as I walk through my neighborhood, my iPhone 16pro connects briefly to random echo devices. it causes the air pod pro 2s to go static and slow motion etc. I do not have the echo app on my phone. see attached.

it it nearly impossibly to make a phone call while in motion, you have to stop walking.

Yes, that’s the Bluetooth Standard in operation. It’s called BLE, Bluetooth Low Energy and it’s designed to connect, but not pair to other BLE devices such as car locks, speakers etc.

Yes, they are just seeing each other. But they lack the dynamic security codes to pair to vehicles. Speakers are dumb devices and are trying to make pairing easier. You’re just the victim of poor design standards and poor implementation by accessory manufacturers.

Objects like speakers are probably operating outside the Bluetooth standards. At best the limit should be no more than 35 to 40 feet in ideal conditions. Any structure or objects in between reduces the distance considerably.

anyway I can fix the interference with my air pods. thats really my only issue is that as I walk through my neighborhood I get massive interference while listing to podcasts or phone calls. it will start to sound robotics and go into slow motion or just cut out briefly. usually lasting no longer than 2-3 seconds. it normally happens at the same time it sees the echo devices
