Red dot in upper right corner by signal indicator

This is not a question but rather an answer.

After spending time with support on chat, and him not having a clue, I figured out what the tiny red dot was in the upper right corner of my iPad Pro screen.

Mine was found in…

Settings, Accessibility, Vocal Shortcuts

This was turned on to take a screenshot with voice control.

As soon as I turned it off, the dot disappeared.

So if you have that issue, it’s NOT the camera (green) or mic (orange) being accessed as they tried to say.

I went all over this site trying to get answers and even the support person had no clue.

Yours may be another setting turned on there, so be sure to try toggling on/off settings in Accessibility.

Hello,

Thank you for helping this community! I would recommend finding other questions and seeing if you can answer them. I have just started. Who knows, maybe you’ll get selected to be in Apple’s prestige Community+ 2026?
