Unable to remove applause at the end using start/stop time options in itunes

Created a PL of many quiet jazz piano solos, most of which are following by 30-45 secs of noisy applause. I tried using the Stop option in iTunes to truncate the last 30 seconds from each tune (e.g. on a tune that lasts 6.30, stop at 6.00), but playback does not respect this constraint. How can I solve this problem?

Apple Music Stop Times Ignored I’ve been editing music that I’ve manually imported from cds etc and noticed there’s a weird glitch that when I edit the stop times for a song it works when I playback when using the speakers or wired headphones. Once I start using my airpods to listen it completely ignores the stop times I’ve set and continues playing the complete track. Is there anyway of fixing this?

Editing the length of a song? I purchased a iTunes song. The song itself is approx. 4 minutes long, however when I play it, it is 8 minutes long. there is silence for a while, then it goes into another song. I've tried deleting it and downloading it again, but it doesn't make any difference. I've tried changing the end time from 8 minutes to 4 minutes but it doesn't seem to save it. Any suggestions?
