How to stay signed in the Apple Community?

I am constantly being asked to re-enter my Apple password on the Apple Community website. I am using Safari on my iMac. If I close this window and return the the Apple Community (or wait a few minutes and my time expires) and try to post, I will be asked again for my password. Is it possible to stay signed in with this browser on this iMac by adjusting something in settings?

Thanks for any help. Because the password is long, complicated, and easily mistyped (AND you can't see it) it becomes very frustrating signing in.

Perpetual logins were stopped many years ago, about the time the forums saw rapid growth. Apple did not share their reasons with us end users.

There seems to be an ongoing bug that logs out users even when they are actively using the forums. Those tend to be intermittent, and normally only happen once per session and are independent of the browser used. The moderations staff are aware of this.

If you are getting logged out more than once a session, that raises the question of conflicting third-party software. Unneeded anti-virus, so-called "cleaning" apps, ad blockers, VPNs and others may complicate matters.

I have my log-in credentals saved in my Keychain (or Apple Password app, depending on device) and have not typed my password here for years. If you are using another password manager, that may have a bearing on your issue.
