Why Logic Pro X recording stops when unplugging headphones from MacBook Pro interface?

-I am using a Macbook Pro and Logic Pro X. I am using an interface.

-I was recording four tracks simultaneously.

-I had to immediately reset all the tracks (4) to begin recording again.

-For each track this incident created a second region (expectedly) with a 5 second gap of silence between each region.

Any ideas on why this might have happened and/or solutions to prevent this from occurring again?

Thanks everyone!

Because you are changing the audio device on the fly. For the exact technical reason you have to contact the devs of Logic. This forum is just a user forum.

This is pretty simple, don't change the device during recording / playback.
