IOS search in setting is not working well

In my attempt to locate the Handoff setting on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, I encountered difficulties due to Apple’s frequent changes in the layout of settings. Consequently, I resorted to searching for the specific setting.

Previously, the Handoff function operated seamlessly. However, upon searching for it, no relevant results were found. To expedite the search process, I sought assistance from ChatGPT, which directed me to the appropriate location: Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity.

After locating the setting, I was able to enable Handoff. Nevertheless, I have observed instances where the Airdrop feature exhibits slower performance compared to sending images via WhatsApp. Apple has consistently delivering optimal and bug-free performance.

I am curious to know the underlying reasons for these performance discrepancies.

SAMSUNG even understands a natural language in search of setting.

we are upgrading or downgrading?

The reason Handoff doesn’t show up for you in the search is because it isn’t a menu in Settings, it’s only a toggle. I agree with you, Apple should update the search function in Settings, but I think it would take a bit of work to program every toggle and every way someone might search for a toggle into the Settings app, so they haven’t done it. Searching in Spotlight Search does show the correct thing, so maybe it wouldn’t be too hard for Apple to implement.
