Application App Updates:

It's Time to Upgrade:

So, what's the application? It is wise to keep your apps up-to-date, and don't use one that are out-of-date. Apple (and Microsoft for this matter) have a reputation of giving a 7-year support periods, and then they stop providing updates for software and devices. So, I'd take this as a good reason to upgrade to a much newer Mac. You have an Intel-based Mac, and Macs from 2020 and after have Silicon-based processors --so this app may not work on a Silicon processor --something you should most certain dig into when using software.

Microsoft Support – Upgrade macOS to continue receiving Microsoft 365 and Office for Mac updates

"If you're on an unsupported version of macOS, your Office apps will still work but you would no longer receive any updates including security updates. For example, if you're on macOS Monterey, but later you don't update your macOS to a supported version when macOS Monterey is no longer supported, you won't receive any updates of any kind."
