Apple Maps Pins Changing Location

Morning,

I am having difficulties with Apple Maps pins, and I am trying to see if it's a limitation of Apple Maps, or if maybe something else is going on. I've seen a few similar posts, none resolved, but nothing that seems to be this exact issue.

My job has me working remotely, and all over the world. I've been using Google Maps' My Map feature to create a map of where I've worked and been. As I've moved farther from the Google ecosystem, I figured I'd try and replicate something like that using the My Guide section of Maps.

The problem though, is that any of my dropped pins, or marked locations are reverting away from the GPS location that I've set them at when I enter them, and instead showing up at a nearby road, or municipality once I reopen the app, or go into the Guide. So instead of having 10-15 pins spread out geographically by the coordinate, I've got 10-15 pins in a random community central to the municipality the pins were located in. My notes that were on each pin are overwritten by whichever the last pin added to that municipality was.

Is there a way to force the pins to stick to the GPS location//coordinates that it was marked//pinned at, or am I stuck continuing with Google Maps or finding an alternative?

Thanks!

As a bit of an update to this, but even pins that are marked at the location in the app are moving. :-(

Just last night I tested it by marking my current location before making my way to town. The pin appeared to be at the proper location at the time. On the way back to the location, I used Maps to take me to the pin. The pin had moved from where it set, to the closest point on the road near location.

I understand if you can't generate an exact path to it as you don't have the road, but I don't that should change the coordinate location of the pin. Just do like other mapping softwares and take you to it as close as they can and do an imprecise as the crow flies line or something.

Completely changing Pin Coordinates to match the "closest road" seems a bad idea...
