How do I fix External RAID device being slow on M4 Mac Mini Pro?

In response to a now closed thread about slow external disk speeds on the M4 Mac Mini Pro: (Using a M4 Mac Mini Pro, 24GB RAM, 1TB drive, OWC Thunderbolt box, 4 Toshiba 16TB enterprise drives in RAID1+0, Ben Q 27" 2400 dpi monitor).

I initially had absurdly slow speeds on the external RAID when plugged into the right rear USB-C port, with my monitor plugged into the central port (Bus 0). I swapped a T3 cable with a new T4 cable, reset Photo Mechanic 6 settings, no help.

After confirming 3 buses in system settings I shut down, plugged the RAID 4 cable into the central port (Bus 0), and moved the monitor to the right port. Speeds are now what I expected, about 7300 read, 4500 write.

Hopefully this helps others facing the same issue.
