How do I stop automatic podcast playback in Subaru Crosstrek with iPhone 13?

iPhone 13. Podcasts play automatically in my Subaru Crosstrek 2016. Last post suggested going to settings and car mode which is not on my iPhone.

podcast turned off. Nothing currently playing. Will go to next podcast. Or if in the middle will pick up.

need to hear my map

program. Not a podcast I don’t want to listen to. How can I stop. See recurring problem with iPhones.

How can I stop my Podcasts from auto-queuing? Any suggestions on how to stop podcast from automatically going into the Up Next queue? In addition, they are also being marked just played when they go into that queue. The continuous playback is off and fortunately has stopped, but this is very irritating. Continuous Playback of podcasts When one podcast finishes another starts, sometimes its a different program. I have turned off 'Continuous Playback'. It seems to be a new feature, maybe with the last update. Can I disable/turn it off?
