Hallmark Studio Greeting Card program not working on my iMac after updating to Sequoia 15.3

For years I have been using a Hallmark Studio greeting card program that worked very well.

I recently updated (upgraded) my iMac to Sequoia 15.3 and now the Hallmark program crashes.

I have checked with Hallmark and they admit to their program not working with Sequoia ( they are hoping for a patch in the future). So far I have been unable to find a greeting card program that I know will work on Sequoia. Has any one out there have a solution to this situation?

Check out Cardia from Addison Software in the App Store. It does not have a catalog of images but you can find any image you want on the internet and use that. It works with Mojave all the way to the latest Sequoia and is regularly updated. And it's only for Macintosh. No Windows nonsense.

Buyer beware. Last year’s offer was for two versions, Windows and Mac. The “Deluxe” was Windows and wasn’t Apple-compatible. That may be the case this year also. The Deluxe has accessory software that perhaps is the extra $10 readers are seeing; they are optional - the base offer is $19; with extras $29. Nowhere in the new ad did I see a clarification about Mac compatibility. Last year there was a separate emailed offer for a Mac version, but though unlikely, it’s possible the latest rendering was made to work with either system.

Backup options and guarantees are extra cost. So be vigilant about precisely what you are ordering.

Was just penning a letter to Hallmark Corporate staff advising them of how their product has been and still is being mishandled. Even though they probably don't make a profit from this product, it's the Hallmark name that's in jeopardy. They would be smart to hand the image library to a real Apple developer to get it done right and charge a bit more for the product.

Will finish the letter but may hold off for a bit to see if Avanquest is capable of doing anything right.

Now if only THIS forum worked as it should!

I tried including the link to the Hallmark Mac ad I got emailed yesterday, and the forum popped to “try again later”. I cut down the URL address to didly and it still popped. Perhaps a screenshot would’ve been better… but…. Frustratingly, “try again later” pops every other time I try participating here, anttachment or not, and has behaved that way since 2011 when we got our first iPad.

Of course -

for this post it pops, “[exclamation icon] Your post could not be saved. Please try again in a few moments.” AND - a banner atop says my session has expired, even though my login logo/icon is still active at the top right. Logging in again doesn’t change anything; the post won’t fly and the banner stays as is.

aaarrgghhh!

So I copied my prior post’s text and totally logged out and started from scratch at the Forum site, rather than from my emails’ links to it. I logged in that way and pasted the text, and it finally flew. Go figure.

As illustrated, $19 is the basic price. Adding bonus software is another $10, $6.95 for 2 years download backup, and $9.95 for a disk. I saw little value in the bonus bundle, but each to his own. The disk seemed a good option as a backup.

Although I haven’t as many issues as others report with the new program, i totally agree that it has become annoying to see at least one, if not two or three, emailed ads for at least one of the two configurations, Windows or Mac. At least they now finally do present a Mac version. But why flood my Inbox with them, expecting me to order all over again so soon, esp. given I haven’t even been able to use the year-old one but a month or two.
