Spent a ridiculous amount of money on this machine, upped the RAM etc yet less than 2yrs later it's pretty disappointing. Word applications routinely crash and 'clean my Mac' and other diagnostics tell me the RAM is low and performance sub-par. Anyone else having the same experience? This should have been a top of the line machine able to handle pretty much anything and here we are endless spinning balls on basic tasks.

By far the easiest way to cause poor performance, instability, overheating and crashing is to install ANY third-party speeder-uppers, Cleaners, Optimizers, or Virus scanners, Bit Torrent, or a VPN that you installed yourself.
do you have anything like that installed?
Already I see 'Clean My Mac', referred to around here as "Brick my Mac", may have deleted FAR too much already. it is complete JUNK and has no place on a modern Macintosh computer.
