On my M3 (Nov '23), I experience audio and video glitches when playing YouTube videos or Spotify songs on the ctouch monitor connected via HDMI. The audio and/or video skips ahead, which is especially frustrating when I'm standing in front of my classroom. From what I've read, similar issues have existed since the M1 models in 2020, and they seem difficult to fix.
Does anyone know a solution for this, aside from rebooting?

I've had multiple MacBook M users experience this issue in multiple classrooms.
I've came across where two M3 users said that updating resolved the issue. The post was April 29, 2024. So, their device probably updated to Sonoma 14.4.1 (resolving their issue). What MacOS version is currently installed?
Well there goes the theory that an update at least fixed the M3 devices.
Another workaround, without restarting, is to open Activity Monitor, search 'corea' (to find 'coreaudiod'), click to select it, then click the x stop sign and then choose 'force quit'. The 'coreaudiod' process will stop and restart on its own.
I've kept up to date with my MBP so now I'm on Sonoma 14.6 and it still is bugging
Unfortunatly..
Also the reboot of coreaudiod doesn't do the trick.
