Read only exchange calendar events can still not be deleted

As for previous threads with tis problem, my work calendar (using the exchange/outlook) system does not delete some declined events from my calendar in the apple calendar app. I can delete them using MS Teams for instance, but they remain in the calendar app (they are designated 'read only). This is very annoying as I really like to have all my calendars (my shared family calendar for instance) and my work calendar in one view, but my work calendar is almost rendered useless by this.

Ik know I can get rid of them by deleting the exchange calendar from my Mac and reloading it. But this only deletes the current ones in the calendar and does not prevent new (read only) invites to clutter my calendar again. Moreover, it takes quite some time and can therefore not be done on a daily basis. Is there a way to make the calendar treat the invites the right way?

Marten, We see the same thing: calendar invites are being placed via an invite as read-only on the Apple Calendar. We're running macOS Sequoia, which is running the latest version as of 3/7/25. Have you stumbled on a solution to delete these items other than a calendar rebuild, which, as you said, works only for the current read-only invites? Maybe a power scipt I can run from the terminal? I even went as far as to buy a new MacBook Pro M4 and rebuild it from scratch, but the issue persists. Has Apple acknowledged this as an issue in another thread? Or anyone? Any assistance is appreciated. They don't want to use Outlook or webmail; I must support this choice. Thank you.
