Can I record a workout without my Apple Watch?

When I walk outdoors I wear wrist weights which preclude me from wearing my watch at the same time. Is there anyway to initiate and record my walk with just my phone? TIA.

You could also manually add your workout into the Health App, right after you finished it:

Thanks. I use the wrist weights because they mimic the weight of my bow.

That makes sense. Definitely not something I would. have thought of!

They are getting a little hard on my shoulders at my age, but if I don’t I have a hard time keeping on target.

I injured both shoulders in my late twenties (full contract martial arts training) and have had to be careful of them ever since.
