Music says The song “xxx” could not be used because the original file could not be found. It says this for hundreds of songs

purchased songs unavailable on new computer I recently got a new computer and installed iTunes although some of the songs are playable others get the message ‘the song could not be used because the original file could not be found would you like to locate it? ‘Clicking on locate does not help. Downloaded song won’t play I have purchased and downloaded a song on iTunes. When I go to play it it either plays 5 seconds of the song or doesn’t play at all. I’ve removed the download and then downloaded it again. This has been ongoing for several months but just didn’t have time to try and fix it. What do I need to do to fix a song that does not play properly?
