I noticed a new symbol next to some of my text. What does two lines with an arrow mean in front of your text message? It disappears after you click the message

Well I believe you are rather clicking on the messages thread, which is why it goes away because it takes you to the whole conversation and assumes you have read the summary. You are most welcome!
