Gif selection issue for posts on X in Safari after macOS Sequoia update

I recently updated my 2021 M1 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar to Sequoia 15.3 and Safari 18.3, and now, for some reason, when I am posting on X.com through Safari, I can open the gif option to add a gif, but once I type in a gif description in the search bar the next window just has colored rectangles instead of the gifs themselves. This did not happen until I upgraded to Sequoia 15.3 and Safari 18.3 two days ago.

I have checked Safari settings to see if changing to "Allow All Auto-Play" fixes it. It doesn't. I have cleared my History Cache, closed Safari, and reopened it. Doesn't fix it. I have shut down my Mac, waited, restarted, reloaded my window and tabs. Doesn't fix it. Could definitely use some help here, or find out if this is a bug that needs a hotfix.

Hi Apple, it's been two weeks. Given the repeatable issue by everyone responding that this did not occur until the most recent updates for macOS and Safari, and the issue is only repeatable on Safari and not any other browser, we know it's an issue requiring a hotfix from Apple and not an issue with X.com. Will there be a hotfix issued as part of the next macOS and Safari update? Can you give us a timeline? That would be helpful. Thank you!

No, it is not an X issue if it "works on other social media sites." We've established over and over again that there is no issue on previous versions of macOS and / or Safari. It works on a macOS as old as Ventura and it works on an old MacBook with Big Sur. It also works on iOS and Safari on the iPhone. The problem only occurs once macOS and / or Safari were updated to their current versions. This points to something in the APPLE CODE that is not working on X. Just because it works on other sites is immaterial to the issue at hand.

If you go into your applications and click on GiF Keyboard, it will load and show up at the top of your screen, next to the battery and wife icons. You can then click on that, find the GiF you like, and then copy it onto an X post, but no, they are not loading directly on X.

Are you using a Mac or an iPhone. On an iPhone, go into the App Store and search GIF, and then you can download "GIF Keyboard."

Sounds like maybe you have to download it onto your Mac as well. So go into Finder, click on App Store (at the very top) and search for GIF Keyboard and download it.
