Logic X freezes with transparent menu pulldowns when opening Loops Browser

When I click on the loops browser, or go to the View tab and click on 'Show Loop Browser" the app freezes. When I click on anything in the menu bar, a transparent pulldown menu appears where it normally would show text. It's so strange. I have tried removing the 'LoopsDatabaseV09.db' file from ~/Music/Audio Music Apps. I've tried removing 'com.apple.logic10.plist' from my Preferences folder. I've tried removing all the apple loops (it downloads the essentials again, and then still won't work.) I'm all out of ideas.

I recently upgraded to Monteray.
