Mac Mini M4 Hotter Than Usual

Hi, I’ve been using a Mac Mini M4 base model for about 3 months. So far, I rarely shut it down, and everything has been fine. However, last night, the Mac Mini M4 felt noticeably warmer than usual (normally, it doesn’t heat up at all). I checked the apps in the Login Items & Extensions section and noticed a process named NAVER Corp. under Allow in the background.

By the way, I’ve now disabled the NAVER Corp. process.

Is the NAVER Corp. process safe to run? If not, how can I remove it completely?

Is this process normal? Could anyone please explain?

Thank you!

chatGPT will always be suspect in my book. black magic qualifies too.

Affinity, da Vinci & figma can be called “apps of interest” because they do lots of useless back and forth stuff in the background.

Ms office auto-installs a bunch of bloat - their thoroughly useless onenote for example and onedrive, which I would uninstall.

If you’re prompted to activate Apple Intellgence, decline. Unproven and probably unnecessary for the literate-educated.

Google’s fine despite the push back you might see/have seen here. It’s an Apple forum after all, what did you expect!

Anyways, “hotter than usual” isn’t cause for messing with any of them except possibly OneDrive. The M4 design engineers weren’t that, err, hot about heat management (as is visually obvious).

Shrug it off, keep walking and revisit the list if things get more exciting. If there’s still time, maybe sign up for Apple Care plus. All the best.
