Logic 11 playhead and undo issues on MacBook M4 Pro

When I open a project in Logic 11, the playhead keeps freezing and the undo function stops working. Sometimes this happens as soon as a project is open and other times Logic will work perfectly fine for a while before all of the sudden the playhead will slow down and when I try to undo, I receive a message that reads:

"Command not available because there are no undo steps"

I have undo steps set to 100, so it does not seem to be something in the settings. I am only working with one project at a time and close Logic before ever switching to a different project. I also recently purchased a MacBook M4 Pro with 48 GB of RAM to replace my old Intel powered MacBook after updating to Logic 11 and first encountering this issue on that. I thought upgrading my system would fix this, but it did not. It seems to be some kind of bug or corruption or something else interfering with Logic. Whatever it is, it is making the app useless for me.

Does anyone know what may be causing this or what I could do to resolve it?

Thank you for this suggestion. I purchased that one and am glad I made the investment, but it did not solve the problem. This feels like a bug with Logic that happens without me doing much at all, but I don't see anyone else having this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Logic, as well. The issue persists. I'm grateful for any and all additional suggestions. Thanks again!
