Unable to adjust playback speed in Apple Music on my MacBook Air

I just updated my MacBook and now all songs in Apple Music play at around 1.5x speed. It happened before the update as well but closing and reopening the Apple Music app fixed the issue. Now no matter what I try I can't resolve the issue.

How to fix the 14 second song playback issue on Mac? While playing songs on my MacBook or iMac in the Music app (former iTunes) some, but not all, songs stop after exactly 14 seconds. From then on these songs will not play more than 14 seconds. The Genius Bar at my local Apple Store could not solve the problem. The problem does not occur on my iPhone or iPad. Very strange and quite annoying. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, has any solution worked for you. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Apple Music slow/half playback speed after system sleeps Apple Music will sometimes, inconsistently, play back audio content (streamed or local) at approximately half speed after the system has been in sleep/suspend. The only fix is to restart the application, and I've experienced this issue on and off for about a year now. I unfortunately don't have any additional details to provide. OS: macOS 14.0 (23A344) Apple Music version: 1.4.0.118
