It was removed because Chinese government control of ByteDance was a threat to national security, and won't be back until they show Congress steps that they're divesting from it.

No worries, it is not on the Google Play store either. That is due to the fines Congress placed on both companies for allowing any downloads of the app. For now, all you can do is access it on the web using Safari.

Hello~ Scroll up to the top of this page. Apple’s stance appears in “Did you know”? You simply cannot redownload it at this present time.
