Why are my smart lights not responding to HomePod automations?

I have a HomePod 2nd generation and 8 Led smart light bulbs from Nano Leaf essentials. Every time I create an automation with all lights involved, most of them don't respond correctly. Few of them switch their brightness to 1% or don't turn on at all. Even the colours don't change most of the time when set in automatons. So, adding a second hub (e.g. an Apple TV 4K 64GB 3rd Generation) in conjunction with my HomePod may increase the likelihood of them responding correctly to my automations?

Would adding a mesh router may fix it as I heard it can also be due to network coverage issues.

Occasionally one of my bulbs may fail to turn on with an automation but this is usually a temporary issue and is resolved. Yesterday one of my bulbs failed but worked today and I didn’t do anything to troubleshoot. If the issue persists you can try deleting the automation and creating it again and/or restart your wifi. Yes it is likely to be associated with the wifi disconnecting briefly.

Update:


My bulbs are from Nanoleaf and I recently downloaded its app. I had to update all my bulbs to the latest update and enabled thread in them.


I tried an automation involving 5 lights and it worked. There were no issues. Sometimes here and there it wouldn’t respond but it’s much more better, I could observe it.


So, I recommend that you get the app of the product in sync with the HomeKit. Because the Nanoleaf app syncs your products to HomeKit and works better.
